Anime North 2018 Con Report

Late con report is late! But I guess better late than never? I hardly blog anymore (not that I ever blogged very much to begin with!), but these con reports are nice to look back at. Here's the brief summary of my weekend.

Anime North 2017 con report

Wow it's been a year since I last updated this blog. I even attended Otakuthon last year but never blogged about it. :/  And now, another time at Anime North has come and gone! The weekend passed by so fast... I brought my 3DS and a tablet to work on some writing, but I hardly had the chance to touch any of it!

Anime North 2016 Con Report

I was telling people that I've been tabling for 8 years now, but looking back at my 2015 con report, apparently this was my 9th! One more and I'll be ten years in! (and then I can retire?) o_0 As usual, con prep was hectic and crazy and I didn't make nearly enough merch, but still had a good time.

Hallyu North 2016 Con Report

Short con report will be short! I just got back after a shotgun trip to Toronto for Hallyu North. The con is new so it was small and not very well-organised, but I liked how chill it was. I left early both days because food and sleep were calling me. Toronto transit, however, was seriously out to get me that weekend. The construction and detours were really annoying, but I made it in one piece.

Merch table! Not that much since most things are for AN

Anime North 2015 con report

Another year gone by! I can't believe this was my 8th year tabling in the artist alley. I think this was probably the toughest and most intense con prep I've ever done. When I heard that I got a table, I wasn't able to work on anything because I was too busy with school. My program is a one year intensive, so the workload for the winter semester was ridiculous and I worked a good 2 months nearly 7 days out of 7 in the conservation lab. I had two plush commissions pending that I was only able to finish when I went back home to Montreal for a 2 week break at the end of April. I then had Ottawa ComicCon at the end of that "break", and had less than 10 days to prep for Anime North. During the last week, I pulled 60hours while juggling school. o__0 I was seriously sleep deprived, but I had a great time!

New Year, Resolutions and Updates!

I can't believe how fast 2014 flew by. It's been quite the eventful year! The last time I blogged was for my Otakuthon con report... since then, I moved to a different city for school and I've been studying full-time in an art conservation program.

Otakuthon 2014 Con Report

Otakuthon has come and passed. I must admit, this was probably my best experience at this convention thus far. In the past, I've always been part of their artist alley and I noticed that compared to other cons, the sales and overall experience wasn't all that great.  I've also never done much at a con in general, aside from sit at a table for the whole weekend.  This year was very different because my buddy Alice came down and we did all the things. Hosted a workshop, got an autograph, watched a screening, shopped in the dealer's/AA, cosplayed, hung out with friends! I also had a few commission deliveries.
